1st floor of the Grand Prayer Hall The first floor has a balcony looking down to the ground in front of the Grand Prayer Hall. It is sued to host special guests and offers a great view. On the 2 sides are rooms for office and occasionally residential purpose and a kitchen unused except for the several annual intensive retreats when monks are locked inside the hall until the retreats are over. In the middle of the floor is a balcony where one could look down to the ground floor. Beautiful murals adorn the walls surrounding the balcony. A walk around it would offer closer views of the top of the pillars carved and painted with great mastery. |
